Material

Stud: carbon steel, sealing cap: neoprene.
Housing: steel (9sMnPb28), silver zinc plated.

Technical Notes

To DIN 71802 form CS, supplied with hexagon nut.
Safety ring aids the retention of the ball stud in the housing.
*M14x1,5 is a fine pitch thread.

Important Notes

Thread is not full length. There is a min 1.5mm unthreaded shank. If using part without the supplied nut, then please consider a counterbore to accommodate the unthreaded shank.

  • Our most popular and best value for money range of ball and socket joints is R3490 silver/clear zinc plated ball and socket joints. Dimensionally these are exactly the same as standard DIN 71802 ball and socket joints but have the added benefits of a sealing cap to prevent dirt ingress and flats on the female housing for a spanner to grip them.
  • Also available in left hand thread, our part number R3491.

    • DIN 71802:

    • If you require ball and socket joints to DIN 71802 then look no further than our R3460 range which are held in stock at low prices.
